Tomorrow we leave for a 4 day three nights break and we booked a hotel in Zeeuws Vlaanderen. This is a part of southwest Netherlands called Zealand but the most Southern part of Zealand is connected to Belgium and so we have to drive through Belgium first to get there. There is also a tunnel I believe but we will follow our nav system's quickest route which is via Belgium.
We head for Sluis ( as in the word Sluice) a pitoresque old small city close to Cadzand at the beach.

The coast here is popular with retirees and famous for the amount of sun so all kind of luxury 2nd home parks have been built with often permanent residents.
The weather will be perfect but if not we could go to Belgiums nicest cities Brugge and Gent which are closeby.
And as our hotel has a sauna we could even visit it when we feel we should after a long bike ride or so.
