Mesjid ini adalah termasuk salah satu mesjid tertua yang ada di Aceh yang di bangun oleh kerajaan Aceh yaitu sultan iskandar muda yang kemudian di bakar oleh jajahan Belanda kemudian di bangunkan lagi mesjid tersebut sehingga Seiring berkembangnya zaman mesjid ini terlihat sudah sangat indah sudah mirip seperti mesjid Timur Tengah yaitu nabawi yang letaknya di Madinah. Ini juga merupakan mesjid kebanggaan masyarakat Aceh yang nama mesjid ini adalah mesjid Baiturrahman. Sekarang mesjid ini sudah di kenal luas bahkan sudah mendunia dan banyak turis-turis datang ke mesjid ini. Oleh karena itu walaupun mesjid ini sudah banyak di kenal orang yang paling terpenting adalah jangan mengabaikan adab mesjid dan sunat-sunat mesjid...
