Good passage. Kind of reminds me of a piece of drama I saw regarding a youtuber commissioning artwork and the artist got bent out of shape because their business wasn't being constantly promoted despite that not being one of the terms discussed. I think this reminds us to know exactly what kind of rewards to expect for our work and not begrudge it when it is given. Sometimes a small or delayed reward is better than no reward.
