LOVE CAME A LITTLE BIT TOO LATE.

My hands are shaking visibly. I know this feeling, the tightness in my chest as I struggle to breath. Did I just make a mistake? How do I turn back the hands of time? How do I make you understand?

I remember the first time I met you, the warm sweet affection in your eyes like a magnetic force attracted me to you. The first time you tried to talk to me, I watched you struggle with the words with your mouth forming the little cuteness that made me just laugh out loud while you blushed. I remember your nervousness as you rubbed your hands on your pant. It's been a while since I met someone like you. Just a handshake and I knew I wanted you.

You are everything I want in a man; Your smile paints a ray of sunshine over my soul. Your scent like lavender, I can't help but sniff you up each time I get the opportunity to give you a hug, holding you close to me making my skin damp with secret desires.
Your graceful movement with shoulders held so high is so fascinating to watch. I see your call on my phone and the butterflies in my stomach do the belly dance.

I hear your voice and my knees quiver. Im joyfully insane at the mention of your name. You hold me in your arms and I know this is where I want to be forever. They say love is a beautiful thing, I agree. Love is an exciting feeling that makes you feel so light with deep warm flickers that you believe you can fly and touch the sky.

I said I wanted to pray about it. To seek God's approval. It felt too good to be true. Do good men like you still exist? Do you have something up your sleeves? Love had hurt me one too many times that I have learnt to look before I leap. Not this time around, with you I feel so much contentment and fulfillment.

My mornings are not complete without your voice. My day is empty without the sound of your laughter. You are my perfect distraction on an annoying day. Tonight I shall tell you how I feel about you. I shall bare it all out and take my chances with you.

Yes! Tonight. With excitement and the power of love I feel, I picked up my phone to say the words my tongue has failed to say all these while to you. But tonight was too late as i listened to you tell me how excited you are about your coming wedding. If I had told you "I love you" even if it is once, would I have been the bride?
