Welll.. just a couple of days back.. the university of uyo permanent site students were robbed in the late hours of the night.. this happened in the girls' hostel and classroom where students went for night classes to read..
It is shameful that the university has paid deaf ears and blind eyes to this happenings..
The robbers went away with students valuables including phones and laptops..
From a reliable source: they said that night still went on normally like nothing happened.. the quick response and security squad didn't show
up till the next morning
This has happened before and yet nothing was done.. it was also said that the so called robbers were students cos they could not be identified.. although no one was wearing mask and all..
I also want to emphasize on the alertness by students cos it happened unnoticed..
Last year, we lost a student who was said to be robbed somewhere close to the school premises
pls we don't need prayers alone again
I am personally tired of the several solemn assemblies been held
We need action
We need security
How can we come to school and still run away from it
As for a thieves ---
When it's not yours, it can't take you anywhere
