Beautiful African woman
Precious daughter of our land
Through thee I see daylight
Under thy safeguard I learnt to fight
Against the threats of life
You laid down the foundation
On which I’ve built my life
You qualified me to be strong
when force in sparkle is needed
You educated me to be wise
when the day calls for wisdom
You skilled me to smile
as it is the jazz up of life
With thee I scholarly to love
Unconditional love
Tears of enjoyment and happiness
Tears of mourning and sadness
With tender lexis you wiped them up
Each time they wet my cheeks
Now, as I ramble the world
I move with me the tools
You crafted for my success
Love, rigorously graft and respect
Are for ever and a day by my side
They fend left the thorns
That existence throws at me
It is loyal could you repeat that? they say
A male in no way grows as well old
To be his mother’s son
I quiet ache for your cuisine
With cuisine consequently succulent
That my stomach cries for more
With tastes accordingly unique
No one moreover be able to duplicate.
Your beam is my sunshine
It at all times brightens my sky
In existence of blustery season
