A BROKEN WOMAN

He told her he loved her and she believed him. How could she not believe when his eyes caught fire with each syllable of the word. He was a little too old for her but she has long stopped noticing it. He was the love of her life.
People had their doubts and questions but she knew that if only they knew how happy he made her feel, they would not doubt.

He chased her and she fell. She fell and he became her waking dream, her heartbeat.
But it was not to be...

When she found out he belonged to someone else it was already too late. It was already too late to call her heart back to order. Too late to remember how life was without him. She was in pains but no one took notice.
So..

He returned to his family and left his "side chick who didn't even know she was one".
He apologized for almost breaking up his home and he was forgiven. Life was back to normal.
But...

Nobody remembered the "other" girl. No one knew how she would often cry because of the pain she felt. He would never be hers but her heart, she knows, will always be he's. She had never meant to hurt another sister; she had never meant to be the one that would keep a man from going home; she had never meant to be the side chick.

The story ended but not for her. She still cries for him and still fights the memories. As she passes, she hears them whisper 'man snatcher, home breaker' but, it was never her intention.
Can't they see she is hurting? Can't they see how love has treated her?

Things are not always as they seem.
Instead of stabbing her with arrows of judgement, hold her shoulder and hear her part of the story. She was only a girl in need of affection who fell into the wrong hands. It doesn't mean she is evil. It just means she needs to learn to grow up.
Would you please be the hand that will guide her without stabbing her all the way to maturity?
