A GLOBAL LEADERSHIP SUMMIT was held in my school MCPHERSON UNIVERSITY. This was held to inform the students, about how to efficiently lead in the right path to success. According to what I understand Leadership at its core is influence. Men and Women like us are expanding their influence through churches, businesses, schools, government and families are expanding theirs by applying what they learn at summits. This helps in transforming their communities.
An interesting fact is that 87% of people who repeat summits, feel a greater sense of significance and satisfaction in personal and professional aspects of their lives. I would encourage you all to not only attend summits but make it an annual part of your development. It will help you learn how to coordinate your life as it is and develop as it should be.
THINGS TO ASK YOURSELF :
According to Bill Hybels, "Leadership is often first discovered through someone planting a leadership seed into another "
Who are the Top 5 people who have impacted your leadership? Identify a few ways you can express your gratitude for them.
Who are a few individuals you can plant leadership seeds into?
These two questions, yet a few are really important in determining if you indeed have been showing traits of leadership . If not here's your opportunity to.
When you encounter grief, failure, or loss, it can be an opportunity for you to experience post-traumatic growth. How to overcome this is by not letting that grief or failure keep you stuck in one of the 3 P's (making it personal, making it pervasive, making it permanent ). If you have anyone experiencing grief show up for the person. This will help you get a better knowledge on how to handle such pain. Support from other also help a great deal. Think of a way to influence or change behaviour in others.
When people are in pain, be there. When people are confused, be there. By being there you develop vast knowledge on how to handle situations that try to overcome you... Attend a summit today, become better tomorrow.
