Complicated situation with my client.

My complicated situation
Hey I think about some hour ago I was so excited to share with you guys my recent exploits, let me use that word. How I just landed my first job, it is not as glamorous as it sounds I can be sure of that but really it is something great.

For those who don't know yet I am a Trained civil Engineer, I used trains because up till this moment I was yet to handle a job of my own, two years after graduation and well, I had done a couple of jobs with a couple of people together with some internal decoration jobs.

So someone I know from Church called me up the other day that he just got a land and will like to bukid immediately, I was like waoh, could this be happening? It took me the next few minutes to be there as it has been described lo and behold, a land and a plan, start building now!!

Lemme not explain how I opened the plan only to find out that the client had brought a plan for a duplex for me to build a bugalow, I.e he brought me a storey building plan for me to build a flat. I just carved out something new, there and then and work began.

Hence the pictures and all. That was Monday this week and we are already at the lintel level, and because of some communications or lack of it, the client showed up with his brother or some family member to say He will be joining me in the supervision and all.

That broke me because I had done an excellent job from all perspectives till today and here I am with some trust issues with my client for the first time, I have been thinking of how to tell him off or calm the situation but I can't come up with the words.

I blame myself for not putting pen to paper as to what and what are my roles and my control over the site.

This is the great news, whether I continue or not, I have done the best job he can get around. And am proud of myself.

The trick is when I convince myself I have done well which I am 100 percent sure then the world can say all they want am not buying it.

Besides what do you think I have done wrong and what is the way from here?
