Traveling has become a major activity in filling holiday time along with loved ones. Using a private car to get to the tourist attractions become one of the main options for automotive lovers in the country.

To ensure comfort and safety on the way, you should check the condition of the vehicle first. Here are some parts of the car you need to check before traveling.

1. Engine Oil

Make sure the engine oil has enough volume. How to check the volume of engine oil by checking the level on the oil stick. The oil level should be in the line between the L and F marks and should be slightly below the F-level line if less add sufficiently. Make sure the time limit (kilometers) of your oil usage is still sufficient for the distance you will travel.

2. Water Radiator

Make sure your car's radiator water is in full condition and reservoir water to the level or not too full. Check also the condition of radiator hose and hose connecting to the reservoir.

When meeting a tube that is bulging or cracked, it should be replaced in order to avoid the broken tube in the middle of the road. Also, make sure the hose connection to the machine and to the
radiator is quite tight and not leaking.

3. Filter Conditions and Gasoline Hose

Make sure that the fuel hose does not crash or leak. Also, make sure the gasoline filter is not clogged. For those of you who regularly perform regular service routine of vehicles, usually gasoline filter in clean condition.

4. Round Cooling Fan or AC

When the fan is rotated by a belt, check the physical condition of the belt. When the belt is cracked, it is feasible to be replaced.

Check also tension belt tension for fan rotation can be optimal. When the fan is rotated the electric motor, electric motor conditions are still good and feasible. How to check the cooling of a car engine by a normal running engine fan is to pay attention to the needle pointer temperature.

If it exceeds the middle line means the engine is hot enough but still safe, if more than half you should stop, wait until the engine cools. Next check the condition of cooling water and fan.

5. Timing Belt Timing belt

replacement is based on mileage indicator on the speedometer. If the timing belt has been used as far as 50,000 km, you should immediately replace with a new one even if there is no damage because the manufacturer recommends longer usage.

7. Battery

Check the battery pole screws and clean the battery pole from dirt or crust attached. Also, check the battery water level. If you add less with pure water, we recommend that you do not add water battery with water (H2S04) in order to maintain the quality of car battery.

8. Tires

Check the condition of both physical tire and tire pressure. The tire pressure is normally around 30-34 psi.

9. Brake

Check the level of brake fluid. If it is reduced from the minimum level limit, it is necessary to suspect the possibility of leakage. Check the brake system if there is a leak in the hose, brake master and check if there is wet inside the wheel as a sign of wheel cylinder leak. Make sure the brake system works properly.
