BILLY GRAHAM : THE JOURNEY.

Billy Graham, born November 7 1918. is a prominent American Evangelist and a worldwide international Christian icon. Died February 21 (99 years of age) after decades in the international spotlight was laid to rest on March 2 in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Spent early days and life moments growing up on a diary farm in North Carolina. First of four children born to William F. Graham and morrow Graham.
His Evangelical breakthrough began in 1949 when he embarked on a three-week tent campaign crusade in Los Angeles and proceeded to extend it to 8weeks. Though his first crusade was in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1947 while final crusade was NewYork, Madison Square Garden in 2005.
He grew to be known and popularly referred to as the American pastor. During his lifetime, he met with 12 u.s presidents beginning with Harry Truman in 1950 and ending with Barak Obama in 2010. He as well received the presidential medal of freedom from former president Ronald Reagan (a medal only given to those who have risen to pinnacles of achievements in their various fields).

Graham also received a star on the Hollywood walk of fame in 1989. Amongst other awards he was as well listed on Gallups annual U. S poll of most admired people 61 times ☺ just more than any other world figure and was later knighted in 2001 on December 6 just in the Christmas month of celebration in Washington .Graham received a honorary knighthood from sir Christopher mayor, the then British ambassador to U.S on behalf of queen Elizabeth 2.

Amongst all his reputable characteristics, his live and devotion to his family was outstandingly amazing. One beautiful thing he did which a lot of couples should learn from is his discipline in respect to the relationship he had with his wife. This can be seen more on were he pledged never to be alone anywhere with a woman other than his wife, Ruth Graham whom he married in 1943 until her death in 2007.

His reputation and legacy was massive. He spoke to more than 215 million people in more than 185 countries and territories. His funeral was attended by thousands from all over the world including U.S president Sir Donald Trump and other notable statesmen and great men of God from all around the world. ☺ our Nigerian Pastor and daddy Pst David Ibiyeomie was present at his funeral as well.


One of his great instruments of positive change and imparctation was his books. He published great and unchallengable books from his ever bonding knowledge of God, these books which ended up changing the lives of billions of Christians all over the world.

All we can ever remember is a man of valour and command in his own army of God that fighting immensely to win the battle of salvation for as many souls he come in contact with. He reminds me of Abraham, a friend of God.
