MY EXPERIENCE AS THE HOST FOR IBADAN STEEM MEET-UP 2018.

A community with a value will stand a test of time and influence its inhabitants. The Nigerian community so far so good as not being left out of the campaign to ensure the rapid growth of Steemit blockchain platform

To this effect, I present to you the another blockbuster event for the year- “Ibadan, Steem Meet-Up” organised by @tojukaka supported by @stach (the steemit accelerated hub). No doubt that IBADAN is among the largest cities in Nigeria, part of the reasons behind while the organisers decided to select this region.
Let me not bore you with rhetorics

Although, I would have been in Ibadan earlier before today but I anchored a dinner last night. I had a road trip down to Ibadan with @illuminatus @official-hord @aderonkemi and @williams-owb
While in the bus, I had to conduct a quick survey of what their expectations about IBADAN Steem Meet-Up is and here is their responses in this short video.

I'm @mediahousent and have been contacted by the organisers to come anchor the event alongside with my hostess, goddess on mic @sushie
And I need to say this right now, the chemistry and energy we pulled at the event was magical. Only those people that attended can attest to this fact. She has this American accent and I got my local swag (Lol). We blended and gave it to them like is hot.

The event took place at “Wenovation Hub, 3rd floor Alpha & Omega Building beside Jade's Cuisine”

It kick started with @samstickkz delivering a lecture on the topic “Blockchain & Cryptocurrecies”
He explained the idea in a very subtle way using a familiar examples e.g Awa Agoyin

In my view cryptocurrency is a virtual or a token other than the hard currency we exchange while blockchain is a decentralized chains of people.

Moving on @tojukaka spoke on the subject “Steemit and relatable topics”.
Part of what he said is that steemit is a platform where users (bloggers) are paid for their original content.

In my sincere opinion, steemit is a platform to get paid. But you need to put in extraordinary work to earn

Although, before now I haven't known her but what I can say is that she's a firm speaker and an aspiring medical doctor from the University of Nigeria, Nzukka.
@gee1 spoke about the “Plagues affecting newbies” which is really on rampage among the Nigerian community.

They (newbie) pop questions like what can I blog about?

Often times newbies are confused about what exactly to write about, how they can build their identity on steemit blockchain.
My reply to them is “who are you?”
Know what works for you and stick to it.

Also, it was a privilege to hear @ejemai the founder/pioneer of @stach speak passionately about Steemit Accelerated Hub.

Few words from his lines are Stach is ready to combat the unrest situations of unemployment and unequal healthy living in our society

Presently, @stach has three hubs located at some strategic positions like Uyo, Port-Harcourt, Philippines and very soon Ibadan will benefit from this project. He said for now @stach is an experiment yet to have a result, so keep your figures crossed.
