God is a trans-generation God

God is a trans-generation God. He just doesn't deal with people for themselves alone. He also deals with thier generation and seed after them. After the fall of man in the gardenen of Eden, when God was ready to unveil His Great redemptive plan, he was looking for a man that would walk with him in such a way that through him, he would be able to actualize his great plan.

One of the key features of such man would be extended beyond the man. Men who are weak, and unable to exercise godly influence over their families cannot extend kingdom inheritance to the next generation.

In fulfilling his great plan, God found the man Noah; the Bible says in genesis 6:8 that Noah found grace in the eyes of the lord so much so that God testified of him that he was righteous.

God found Abraham. Abraham walked with God and God attested to the strong influence that he had over his household. Abraham was just the right man for the job, through whom he perpetuated his benevolent intention to bless everyone in Christ.
