SUPPORTING THE STEEMIT-UYO COMMUNITY- MY DAY AT THE STEEM ACCELERATOR HUB

Good day people, humph!!! (exhaling tiredly). It's been a great day, a fulfilled one at that. I didn't plan for the day day to transcend the way it did, but I'm glad it did.

Well , I woke up quite early in the morning with my phone battery stone cold dead and I was left thinking about how awful and miserable my Saturday was going to be.
My pal @delaw was leaving the hostel in order to write a certain exam and I was trying to comprehend the degree of boredom I was going to cope with.
The time crawled by and it was soon 11am. My thoughts flashed to the steemit Uyo hub being set in place and at that moment I was like :

What the hell am I doing still sitting here??.

I jumped up, rushed to take my bath (something that would have happened later in the day has I not gone to the hub). I put on my clothes and headed for the hub.
In no time I arrived the hub , I was met by the familiar faces of @samstickkz , @datibomchick , @elizabethscarlet and some "not really recognizable" faces.I later learnt they were newbies who just learnt about steemit.
I relaxed and soon @ishotz arrived the hub.

He had gone to purchase the Air-conditioners that were to make sure the hub was comfortable.

The generator that will power the hub was also gotten
And then installation of the air-conditioners went underway.It's among the electrical installations fixed in the hub. Previously electrical wall sockets and lamps had been put in place too.

The air-conditioners after being put in place were functioning optimally.

Later on @vwovwe arrived and the unrecognisable faces turned out to be people he told about steemit. He gave them a briefing on steemit.
That went down and the next thing was the fixing of the steemit logo on the floor of the hub , in the centre. It wasn't an easy task. @vwovwe started it before @samstickkz and I joined him in it. It was really interesting even though it was a bit strenuous and all.we employed a pair of scissors , glue, a hammer and tiles.
The three individual components making up the steemit logo were first fixed on the floor.

The dark tiles were then placed on the empty surface of the the remaining bare floor. This required some skill and I got the hang of it in time thanks to @vwovwe.


Finally we were done and this came out

Our work for the day was done.It was getting late already and I had to bid them goodbye.Its quite funny that when I reached home I realized I ate only once and it never came to my mind because I was so engrossed in the days activities.

If you asked , I'd tell you it was a fulfilled day; knowing I played a part(no matter how small)in supporting the Uyo steemit community.

THE STEEMIT UYO HUB WILL SOON BE FUNCTIONAL AND IT IS SOMETHING WE ARE EAGERLY EXPECTING.
