Typing from the Steemit-Uyo hub

I started typing this at the Steemit Uyo hub on Itu road. As at the time of typing this (3.40pm), the hub was abuzz with young people from the Steemit Uyo community. I was excited to put faces to some names I'd already been used to seeing online on Steemit, WhatsApp, and Discord.

Steemit is truly a beautiful way to bring people together.

In the company of @gnomicrules and @nexrules, we found our way from University of Uyo campus in Nwaniba to the hub on Itu.

We didn't know where the hub was, but @nexrules got directions from a fellow Uyo steemian. He said it'll be by a hotel. I can't recall the name of the hotel right now.

I remember when we got to the hotel by the hub and @nexrules didn't know where the hub was. From where we were standing, we saw a group of young men standing on the verandah of a house. Some people were going to that same house. My gut told me that had to be the hub.

Convincing @nexrules that that house was the hub was stressing. He insisted on calling and getting precise directions. Long story short, I was right (as usual). Just kidding.

We got to the hub and it was a very impressive job done there. I want to thank the flag bearers of this amazing idea @samstickks and @ejemai. I see this exploding into a huge community of progressive-minded people.

When people like this come together in a community with a singular positive drive, there's no telling how powerful they could be.

Long live Steemit!

Great to see the pictures, @uwemedimo, and hear the short narrative about how you found the hub.

That's hilarious! Love it!

I'm glad to see that you guys could do something like this.
