Losing focus? 1

  Once upon a time there lived in a large plain, people living differently because of their differences. They were unintended enemies, not because they hated each other BUT because they did not know each other.

There came along an old woman who brought both of them together to fulfil her personal desires and she thought that the best way to it was to make this people come together. After bringing them together, she will bring them before the fire at night and tell them stories. They were always happy and were beginning to understand themselves to build a fortified front instead of being separated. 

The old woman knowing that this unity will make her lose her grounds evented a means. They lived together until a fateful day when the old woman came to the story spot with a bucket of water. After a few minutes into the story, she poured the water on the fire raising the heat of the fire on them and walked away quietly, and one group blamed the other for the old woman’s action. Two things were wrong that this people never addressed but instead argued and quarreled based on their unique differences. The woman has never come to the story spot with a bucket of water and secondly she was always the last to leave; but what went wrong? 

Two days after the action, the woman did not come to the story spot and did not send any message to the groups. Each group decided to find out the reason for the woman’s action but they failed to go together. She told one group a lie about the other and did the same to the other. She made them embrace their difference and made them believe that the other was the problem of the one. 

The two groups started living is distrust of one another and decided to part ways because of the lies they have believed. They were unity temporary and made to focus on their differences as a problem and not on their interrelationship and interdependence. This woman and her likes without cause produce a means of putting these groups aside for them to have their way always as they were not ready to be accountable to the people. 

After many years, still focusing on their differences, they agitated to go their separate ways and…
