I can't get anyway near 30 connections. I find, also that if you mess with it too much, the wallet does not like that.
Changed peers.dat, added all nodes and extra ones manually, with and without the []!!!

Hey Mike, im glad this could help you out. Yeah the peers.dat file works for the EMB wallet. But if thats not an option than adding nodes is always your best bet. So you are up and running now? As far as the staking goes 7mill EMB is good. But I would have thought you would have staked alot more in 2 weeks. I staked about $300 worth of EMB in 6 days with only 800k coins.

Correct Mike, any type of disruptions with the internet will causing issues while staking. You need a constant connection. Some people use virtual servers to house their wallets if you dont want to use a local PC or table.
