I totally agree. When I left the theatre I was not wishing to see the next movie right away like it happened with The Force Awakens. There are really no important cliffhangers.
However, if you think of it, Episode IV (before being EpIV) was exactly like this. The Death Star is destroyed and "good guys" win - the end.
Maybe the next movie(s) will tell us new stories and will make us wanting more. The power of Star Wars is not just Luke Skywalker and such, but it's the whole universe made of characters, species, ships, droids, the Force and so on. That's why we loved the Clone Wars series, or Rebels, and the extremely well done Rogue One.
