Momentum Comes From Somewhere

Day 14 - 0$ made, 0 events held, 0 products designed, 0 twerkflows made. Fiddling away my time in my new inventory system on Zoho Inventory.

Day 379 - $6,973 made, 18 events held, 6 products designed, 45 twerkflows made. Fiddling away my time changing my website and uploading blogs.

Momentum has to come from somewhere. The opposite of staring out the window. It's that moment when you are prompted for some reason to turn your attention away to something else. That glance is usually to slow down everything; you thoughts, your fingers....whatever. Whether that slowing is purposeful or accidental it has consequences.

A lot of the values we attribute to growing companies actually boil down to capitalizing on momentum. Steam-rolling forward sure can make up for a lot of mistakes along the way. Innovation, luck, streamlining are all words we love to throw from the outside at the image of a successful company to try to say we know what it happening on the inside. The only thing you can say for sure is that if you see a company growing it has (or had) momentum that is is making good on.

To me, momentum seems to be made up of execution, timing, and adaptiveness. Like a Plinko chip clinking through its path and ending up in any one of the payout bins at the bottom.

Is it luck, skill, or squeezing your hands so tight together than you palms turn white that guides the chip into the $10,000 bin at the bottom...or just throwing enough chips that finally one ends up there?
