Smartwatchs are getting better, but in terms of autonomy they still have big problems.
Smartwatch makers are trying different strategies to improve battery life, some of them relying on hybrid watches that use analogue clock, plus digital notification items and more.
A Swiss startup, however, proposes a new approach, trying to create a smart clock that does not need to be loaded. It is based on a kinetic loading system that generates power while you're moving.
The Sequent clock comes with the standard features you'll find in any other hybrid: it has a heart rate monitor, sleep monitoring, GPS, notification system, and Bluetooth to connect to mobile phones.
Currently, the price of a watch is 198 dollars, but it would grow to 438 dollars in the retail version. The Kickstarter project can be found here (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1608034664/sequent-the-worlds-first-kinetic-self-charging-sma/faqs)
