Hello, everyone!
This is the first post before many others about what is really happening behind the scenes of founding a start up,
from the very beginning.
I will not discuss what it is about but explain the stages me and my team are going through
in order to make our dream come true.
23.03.2017
It started with me getting a phone call from a good friend of mine,
saying he got onto a crazy idea with a crazy business model.
We met a coffee shop at started to think how can we make it happen.
*Actual image of the first meeting.
Stage 1 - finding similar apps and projects
We searched for similar companies and apps through Google, Play Store,
and Appstore using dozens of keywords related to the idea.
We found out that the way we want to do it is unique at no one tried it before.
Of course, we were very happy because although we found more than 100 different apps around that theme,
no one had the idea we had.
No need to say that none of those apps ever succeeded big time and the best of them only hit 1M downloads.
After agreeing on what the idea specifically is about, we started building our team.
Stage 2 - Building the team
First, we thought of what are the most urgent roles that we need in order to get it started.
So we talked with a friend of my partner that is learning UX/UI.
Next, because our idea is centered around Big Data mining and image processing algorithm,
my partner met with a professor from the Technion who is an expert in those categories.
Surprisingly (or not!), The professor really liked the idea and joined our team.
Now we had a team of 4 members: UX/UI designer, Mathematics/Big data/Image processing algorithm professor, Computer science& Mathematics student (my partner), and Industrial & Management Engineering student (me).
Next chapter will be about writing the "One-Pager", the CV of the project that is written for potential investors!
You would really want to read this one if you want to learn from a hardcore experience.
Lucky to be your partner @ofirg012.
Glad you are writing about the progress of our StartUp!
