I feel the franchise has moved away from the truth behind the stories - depicting the heroes journey as outlined by Joseph Campbell.

I feel the movies are dumbed down displays of entertainment meant for escapism instead of stimulating actual dialoge and analysis.

What are the messages, lessons and morals of these stories? What are they conveying to the viewer?

The true purpose of entertainment is to teach not to distract.
