Happy Star Wars Day! May the Fourth Be With You!

May the 4th be with you.  

This is close-up of the original 1977 Style A poster I got back in 1999 for about $250.  It hangs in my home office. Yes. I have other posters. Why do yo ask?

I’m not 100% sure how long May the 4th has been considered Star Wars day. (For those who don’t understand it, it is a play on the phrase May  the Force Be With You.)

 Obviously it’s fun to say.  Lucasfilm has been officially observing the day since 2013.

For me Star Wars should May 25, since that is when the very first Star Wars movie, A New Hope, opened in 1977.

Which means when the next Star Wars film, Solo, opens on May 25, it will be 41 years since the release of the first movie.  Crap. I am old.

But I am not going to argue, Happy Star Wars day.
