The fan film is set before the events of Star Wars Episode I : The Phantom Menace. Palpatine is currently training Darth Maul on a remote planet.
The lightsaber battles are epic. They put a lot of time into the shots and choreographed very impressive action scenes.
This is not something to wait to watch. WATCH IT NOW. You'll say "that was a fan film? Holy cow". And If you have already seen it, I'd imagine you would want to watch it again. :)
