Introduction
The existence of blockchain decade ago, has brought about so many crypto platforms that seeks to cause a change in the economic lives of individuals. The existence of blockchain has made a p2p system that helps individuals trade through cryptos. Among these cryptos are bitcoins, etherum, steem among others.
The steem blockchain on the other hand is a social media based platform that have had a major break through since its three years of existence by rewarding users for participating in the network. The growth of steem over the past few years has been on dapps, these dapps have made the steem blockchain a place be. Among these dapps, I would like to introduce you to Esteem. Esteem is currently ranked 10th on state of the dapps and ranked 2nd under the media category.
About Esteem?
On 13th August 2016, @Good-Karma founded esteem on the the steem blockchain. Esteem is available on both mobile and PC for steem users to blog. The esteem surfer is among their latest development and It is a great experience to blog with esteem.
What is Esteem?
Esteem is a DApp built on the steem blockchain to reward users for blogging through their platform. Esteem is a Steem interface one get used to but with additional handy options. Everything works out faster and easier with eSteem Mobile and eSteem Surfer applications. One can create his own posts, surf his friends feed or trending/hot/etc pages, upvote whatever he likes, write comments, read replies, do all major Steem functions in your daily social surfing as well as wallet actions and of course few extras: search, discover different tags and so on.
Components of Esteem
Esteem like any other dapp has various components that makes it easy and loving for its users to use it. These components includes;
Social Features
These social features consist of, posting, commenting, voting, bookmarking, drafting posts and engaging with users. The social features helps users to post through the steem blockchain, comment on other users on the blockchain, vote blogs he likes, creating a post as well as keep ones engagement with other users on the blockchain.
Push Notifications
Esteem has a real-time notifications for each new comment users gets, it also notifies users of their mentions from other users. It also notifies users of people who follows and unfollows you. Lastly it notifies users of every vote on their blogs and the various transfers he receives.
Track Your Followers
This feature helps users review and search each new follower's profile, posts and also discovers new users.
Personalize & Multi-accounts
This feature helps users one to personalize his profile by setting profile and cover pictures, location, website, about info. One can add multiple accounts for convenient switchs as well.
Secure
This feature helps users to secure their profile/app with additional PIN code and back up their passwords..
Settings
User can change more settings, adjust voting weight, notifications, connections, currencies, platform, languages.
How To Use Esteem
- Download esteem
- Install and launch your esteem app
- Click on login into the app with your steem username and your password
- You can now blog and perform all your steem activities with the app
What I like about Esteem
- Its easy to use
- Original content users are being voted every 24hours of posting with the dapp by the esteemapp account
- It allows one to post all niche unlike steemmonsters and steemhunt that only focus on one niche
- Users can schedule their post without the need to go the app even when your data is off.
What I don’t like about Esteem
- The 10% cut of esteem for every post made with it is one thing I do not like about it
- The app is not mobile friendly to phones with lower android versions.
Conclusion
Esteem is one of the best dapps in terms of all activities that happens on the steem blockchain. Unlike partiko, esteem has a transfer feature that makes transactions easy for users. Lastly, I would be happy if esteem is made mobile friendly to mobile phones with lower android versions and there should be an option for user whether or not esteemapp should take a 10% of their payouts
My rating for esteem will be 4.5 star..

Nice review, I agree on lower android version, I got some trouble on uploading pictures but other feature seems fine. Also on partiko trouble on connecting in steemconnect when using much late android version..
