We spent some time in Louisiana with some pretty hardcore statists. Even sold a photography job to one of them. They happened to ask if we shared their views on voting, someone may have said something like if voting mattered, they wouldn't let you do it, and we never got to shoot the job. Its a religion, and catholics apparently don't fraternize with protestants.
