I analysed STEEM blockchain database from yesterday 2016-09-20T00:00:00 and parsed all the registered votes. The analysis was just about the number of upvotes and how they relate to the new reblog feature.

The conclusion:
Three most upvoted authors did use the reblog functionality but the most upvoted posts were the fresh ones. Most probably reblogged posts are often read by community but rarely upvoted.
And last but not least: number of reblogged vs upvotes
4020 posts were reblogged and they received just 6139 upvotes.
This means that a lot of people tried the new functionality but the reblogged posts did not receive many upvotes!

Partially these are automatic BOTs and the rest are real people. I suspect that this is close to the number of active users on steemit.com.
