What do you think these trends show for the long term? Top payouts are going down, do you think this would diminish the incentive for users to participate?

    maybe only users who are used to earning big money, but not me

    I am not sure that top payouts going down won't decrease the incentives for the top posters. Consider that many websites pay $100-200 for a long form post or a technical tutorial so top poster rewards will still be a profitable alternative. On the other hand, motivation of the long tail of posters that get less than a few SBDs may decrease dramatically.
