Sure thing, that sounds like a great idea. Do you use steemit.chat or discord?

On steemit chat I am @eroche on discord I am @eroche#1620

In the meantime here are some recommendations on setting up the accounts

You have two options:

  • You can choose an account name, register it then give them the login details or manage it for them.
  • You can get them to sign up themselves.

When you start posting from their accounts you have to be careful not to come across on steemit as impersonating them.

  • The best way to do this is to get them to tweet a confirmation from their official Twitter accounts. Something like "I am now on Steemit @xxxx, see why i joined steemit [link to steemit intro post] follow me for ...."

From experience people that are already popular in other social media who post on Steemit don't always get good traction because they don't necessarily give the reason why they are here and they assume their fame elsewhere will mean they will be successful here. It's worth bearing this in mind and the best start will be for them to post a well written into, or video that shows how they can add value here and don't forget to link to their Twitter handle and take a screenshot of their followers there.

They will also not necessarily get visibility initially so I would consider using one of the promotion services to get them on trending.

Last point is the Steem community responds well to promoting the platform. A few promotional tweets, posts or campaigns will be popular.

As they are musicians I would also recommend linking in with the openmic contest in some way. You could for instance offer sponsorship or support for that initiative. That is a big long running initiative on Steemit run by @luzcypher. Making a few links in the community is the best way to get started.
