The Top 50 Accounts Transferring to and from Exchanges

New For This Report: USD values are calculated per day via API feeds from poloniex (for STEEM and SBD values in BTC) and coindesk (for USD value of BTC). For the hourly breakdown graphs, I show the USD values using the weighted average for that day. For the top 50 reports in USD terms, I then took the average USD value for STEEM and SBD for the week using the daily average which came out to:

• STEEM: $0.51785
• SBD: $0.89025

Assumptions

Please see the first report for a detailed explanation of my personal assumptions related to what this data could mean (along with previous report commentaries). What it does not show is people powering up, powering down, or if they are buying or selling on an exchange. It's just some interesting data dealing with transfers to and from exchange accounts.

Commentary

• The ratio of withdraws to deposits is still climbing and is now at 5.44/1. Previous values:

  • 5.00/1
  • 4.41/1
  • 4.01/1
  • 3.85/1
  • 3.85/1
  • 3.09/1
  • 3.42/1

• The obvious elephant in the room is @hendrikdegrote. $157,395? Whoa. Not sure what's going on there, but some of these new whale accounts have been discussed here and here and may belong to new Steemit dev employees.

• $43,975 is the lowest net total I've seen so far heading to exchanges, but that's clearly due to some new whale accounts being created and powered up.

• Last week's STEEM total: -679,589, this week is -85,025 which is the largest drop we've seen yet. Again, probably due to some new whales powering up.

• Another week of positive SBD transfer from exchanges, but just barely, coming in at 62.
