The world tallest statue **'The Statue Of Unity' ** is getting its finishing touch in Gujarat, state of India.
Its construction was started on 31oct 2014 and it is now going to be completed. Soon, on 31oct 2018 India's Prime Minister **Narendra Modi ** will inaugurate it.

The Statue Of Unity is constructed in India to dedicate an Indian Independence movement leader **Vallabhbhai Patel **.

Its height is 597ft (182m).Its is located facing towards the Narmada Dam, 3.2 km away on the river island called Sandhu Bet near Vadodara in Gujarat.
For the construction of this statue, there was a three months long Nation Wide campaign to collect the iron piece needed for the construction from six lakh village farmers of India as a donation. Therefore its name is derived **The Statue Of Unity Movement **.
The Statue Of Unity Movement Organised a **Suraaj (good governance) Petition ** wherein as estimated 20millon people's wrote about their ideas for the good governance.
It was the world largest petition signed.

This statue represent the great personality, history of Vallabhbhai Patel. This statue is in a walking stance and is being designed as a naturalistic.
This monument is being constructed in keep viewing of tourists. There is also memorial garden, museum and a spot for viewers.
