Because I have been a good girl I get a free staycation

Today I am lucky to stay in a hotel for free. The hotel is across a big mall so it's famous to local and foreign tourist. After a long work I am just too happy to have hot bath, an air-con room with Wi-Fi and a cable TV to come home to.

Staycation is a neologism meaning a newly formulated word. It means opting to have leisure time in the confines of your own country or just in a room.

So here I am going just that. After a warm bath and a friend chicken for breakfast I was ready for the needed zzz. Unfortunately instead of doing that I end up surfing the net for a DIY Bollywood costume for an upcoming year end party this December 2.

What makes staycation a thing of today. One, not all have the luxury of going on long weekends like me. With my work shift it's just impossible even to go home for holidays. Two, at some point no matter how hard working you are one just need to do some self pampering. And staycation offers just that. It allows you to sleep and not worry about making the bed or doing the dishes. It affords you temporary break from the regular routine you're accustomed too without breaking your budget. I'd say it's necessary for everyone as it's this break that allows us to see fresh perspective of things around us. Third, it's a way to experience the services of a hotel or a resort which might prove handy in the future.

I love doing staycation as it is an avenue for me to see great interior designs and landscaping which I can use if I have my own space. Its also an avenue for me to study what makes customer service a defining point between success and failure. Its also a chance for me to learn about food preparation. So I do encourage everyone to try it too especially these holidays with those lavishly decorated trees and wreaths for that picture perfect family pictures to treasure for generations
