Who is paying us for steeming❓❗️

Are we getting paid for creating content and curating on steem?

Definitely Not ❗️

Why is everyone telling that people getting paid for blogging on steem? Thats not true. No one is really paying us.

As the website of steem states, we're getting rewarded.. with some tokens called Steem, Steem Power and Steem Dollars. These are just bits and bytes created by the network, nothing with any value in the real world at the moment..

We can exchange it.. into any other cryptocurrency..💰 the same bits and bytes.. if someone is willing to pay for it❗️
Then, finally, we can convert it into real actual money (ok, you can buy stuff with bitcoin, but thats not the point here) 😎
So we're dependent on other people willing to pay money for steem to get paid but we get nothing from the platform itself.

So please stop telling the world you get paid by the platform for steeming, thats an illusion.

Btw. the process to convert steem into fiat seem to get more complicated as more and more exchanges having problems trading steem or abandoned it completely. At least thats what I read more often the last couple of days.. haven't tried on my own so far. 😕

The question you should be asking yourself is.....which currency is MORE fake? the phony crypto that is generated on this platform or the phony fiat $$$ you want to convert it into? The US $ is becoming more and more worthless as the FED can create billion$ with the push of a button. Banks in trouble? Create $700 billion out of thin air.

Here is what you really should convert your Steem $ into:

So true! I'm sure the money in my bank account will buy me less stuff next year than today, with most of my crypto's on the other hand...

super super easy to convert it once you figure it out. you can create a bittrex account and transfer SBD (steem dollars) to the account. then sell it on their exchange for any coin you want. If you ever want to get that out you can transfer it over (from bittrex) to coinbase. then withdrawal it to your bank account. there's quite a few steps involved but once it's done a few times, it's easy.

You may say it's easy, try telling that to the public we want to attract. My mother would not go through all these steps.

We can only hope a decent-functioning exchange will decide to accept steem and implement the possibility to convert to Fiat money.

very true.

Transfer the bitcoin to Gemini exchange as they charge less in fees when you convert to fiat. In fact Gemini does not charge a fee to cash out like coinbase.

maybe because u haven't tried it before? does not mean it is hard

Thanks for the insight here! We are getting rewarded, not paid. This is key! And then we can convert!

The beauty of a system like Steem is that you don't need to change to "real money", at least not in the future.

What we see happening now is that a community is building around Steem, and we can expect new developments where you can pay with Steem "money".
A nice example is for instance SteemBnB, where people accept Steem instead of money.

Btw, real money is not backed by anything either, it is printed at will and there is no gold reserve or anything else behind it anymore. At least not enough to cover the money being created.
In that respect it's the same as cryptocurrency, just 0's and 1's.

Fiat is backed by the threat of violence by state a.k.a. the monopoly of violence. The state demands that you pay your taxes in whatever fiat currency it considers legal tender. Also, entities that have accounting obligation are required to accept legal tender as settlement of debt or alternatively have the violence apparatus of the state refuse to help them with the collection of said debt.

That's true, but states have been toppled before regardless of their monopoly on violence.

Never underestimate the power of the group, when that grows large enough no amount of violence or rules will help them.

Sure, but the statement that fiat money that is also legal tender and peer-to-peer money are equal in being backed up by something is false.

nobody pay/s for posting crap /, haha

If you want to get paid by a platform try Bitconnect. Ive been getting paid daily since I joined with no problem. For more info check out the post on my steemit page.

I have written essays on my blogs long before Steem was around. I think the question is, "why are you submitting essays and articles?" If you are doing it for money, I think you are going to always be dissatisfied with the results. I am looking for community and like-minded individuals who want to learn from each other. Isn't that more satisfying in the end?

Good luck!

Definitely adds a lot of clarity to the whole process, albeit with quite a pinch of salt. Good post :)

I'd rather have my money in crypto at this point
