DO NOT HOPE, DECIDE.

Today I read this beautiful story about a man who learnt something that very few people realise.

Never hope something will happen, just decide it will and believe in it. 

Children sometimes make me wonder; they sit and cannot decide what to do. 

Teach your children that it is very important in life to make decisions and stick to them. There is absolutely no way that hoping will get them anywhere.

We must teach them to believe and not just hope. 

I listen to them saying I hope I do well in this test. I hope to one day reach my goal of becoming a doctor or even a mechanic. 

It does not help to hope for something, you have to decide that if you want something you will reach your goal.

Hard work can do the trick, as well as thinking of asking God to help you. 

What I am actually saying, is everyone has dreams and goals, but if you do not decide to do it and just hope it will come true you might as well forget about it.

Life does not work that way, we have to decide to do something and work for it as well as pray for it. 

We must teach our children this as hoping, it not worth much. The hope you have, has to become a decision and that is the only way that it will become true. 

Start this when they are very young, and tell them to decide between maybe two things. 

If they do not take both away and say when you have decided come and tell and I will give it to you. 

It is so important to make them decide instead of hoping and wondering as there is such a big difference.

When we got married 48 years ago we had known each other 2 years before that, we decided that it will work and we will make it work. 

We have succeeded because we both decided it will work and we did just not hope it will work. 

So teach your children to decide and stick with their decision.
