Efficiency, profitability and long winning streak
When I decided to try Steam Monsters and when I must pay about $ 10, I was very interested how the internal market works and how expensive the cards are. It Was great suprise to see, that we can buy some great legendary cards for very low cost.
After a few matches I found out that it is important to have a strong tank with good healer with tank heal in your start squad. With this combination, you will be invincible in most matches in the Bronze League. That's why I have decided to choose blue splinter. My card composition:
- I bought a single card: Frost Giant, a brutal attack, a lot of HP and especially a shield, which saves you life quite often and it can be bought for ridiculous 1,981 SBD ;-)
- Water Elemental: for 5 many 4 HP, 2 attack, 4 initiative and mainly healing, so it can last for a long time
- Cruistacean King: for 3 many 2HP, 1 Armor, though small initiative but mainly Tank healed, so he treats only your tanka
Of course, it depends on how much mana you have on start of the fight. If an enemy does not have cards that can effectively defeat your healer, it is very hard for him to succeed. Water Elemental is an excellent long damage, who can heal himself and support your attack for a long time.
After completing my first quest, I got Sea Genie, which has only 2 attack for 6 mana, but magical and in the blue splinter it will receive a +1 bonus bonus from the summoner to DMG. Let's not forget about flying, which can sometimes be useful.
So the most common set at Mana 24+ is: Frost Giant, Water Elemental, Cruistacean King and Sea Genie.
With this cards I have made it from Novice League to Silver League in 3 hours slow playing with watching films and doing some paper works ;-).
