Hello!
During my visit to Cardiff last month, I ate at Pret a Manger, in the Cardiff Saint Davids shopping centre, so I wanted to share pictures and talk about the eating experience I had.
I've eaten at a Pret before, many years ago- so I was looking forward to seeing any new menu items I hadn't seen during my last visit!
I went on the 19th of January this year, which was a Sunday. The website for this café says that they're open from 9am to 5pm on Sundays- thankfully! So many places close really early on Sundays, but because this is a big city (the capitol city of Wales to be exact) it was open until much later.
One thing I really like about Pret a Manger, is that they use organic coffee in their drinks. Their website also states that they serve freshly made food- hence the good quality meal! In their mission statement found on their website, they state that any food that isn't sold or used is given to charity- which in this day where food is expensive and homeless rates are rising, I think it's brilliant that they give to the people who need it most when they're able to.
This is a screenshot from Google maps street view of the outside of Pret a Manger!
I had a fruit salad (I did share this with my friend and my partner who also came with me), a cranberry, raspberry and pomegranate drink, with a chicken and basil hot wrap- delicious!
If there's a fruit salad at a café I try to get it as often as I can because I find them very tasty and healthy, I also like to nag whoever I'm eating with to have a few slices of fruit just incase they haven't had much fruit lately, lol! 😁
A closer look at what I ate.
I really enjoyed my meal, I was in good company and the food was really energizing and tasty!
The cranberry, raspberry & pomegranate drink cost £3.60 which is roughly 22 STEEM.
My fruit salad cost me £4.10 which is around 25 STEEM.
Lastly, my chicken and basil hot wrap was £5.99, which is about 36 STEEM.
In total, my order came to £13.69, which is roughly 83 STEEM.
My friend ate a Swedish meatball hot wrap- wow! She also had a chai iced oat latte and some of my salad pot.
It looked and smelled like a really tasty meal, she said she enjoyed it! That iced oat chai latte sounded really tasty, I was jealous!
Her Swedish meatball hot wrap cost £5.99 which is around 36 STEEM, and her iced chai oat latte cost £4.25 which is roughly 26 STEEM.
The total of her order came to £10.24, which is around 62 STEEM!
My partner had just a ham, cheese & mustard toastie- he brought some water with him so he didn't buy a drink here, he also had some slices of fruit from the salad I bought. Seeing his cheese toastie made me realise I haven't had a proper toastie in a really long time, I think I should make one soon!
His order total came to £6.25 for his toastie! This is about 38 STEEM.
Our total of our combined orders comes to... £30.18! Which is roughly 180 STEEM.
I think the food was really tasty, I did however feel that it was rather expensive. I can understand why it's a bit pricey, we were in Cardiff, and Pret makes their food fresh and uses organic coffee- so I'm not complaining!
I would love to go here again. 🥰
