Bounty 7 Steem: How did Avicii die?

Hard to say, really. As a fan of the whole electronica/trance/DJ genre, it was surprising but not shocking.

The autopsies evidently confirmed there was no foul play. It was "just" a straight suicide.

I'll "step inside" some of this and add that he was Swedish; basically very quiet and sensitive (as a person) and culturally (I'm Danish) Scandinavians often struggle with the way "making it big" steals your soul. This is a wild guess, but I would take a shot that he was not at peace with his own "stardom."

Scandinavia has a high suicide rate, IN SPITE of being welfare states where everyone is taken care of. Alcoholism also runs rampant there, compared to most places. When he stopped touring, "drinking" (presumably to deal with the stress) was one of the (I think unspoken?) reasons, disguised as some other ailment.

Now, his family is hinting at suicide. That's iffy to me, BUT some of his fellow artists/producers have spoken of him having a lot of "sadness" in his thoughts. Maybe there's a clue there. Maybe the guy simply was depressed... and did what many Scandinavians do when depressed-- commit suicide.

Speculation, of course... but I'd wondering this, myself, since the news came out.

I saw some news that said, he died because of damage to the liver due to excessive consumption of alcohol during the time he was exposed to the events and parties where he attended, but I do not understand how that could only happen to him while the rest of the djs and even Normal people who consume excess alcohol for many years do not die as suddenly as it happened to him.

The only explanation I find is that he had an inherited predisposition that would have accelerated the damage he suffered because of alcohol consumption.

Although after all, it's still strange and I would not rule out that there's something worse behind his death.

He really struggled with thoughts about meaning of life and happiness. He could not go on any longer. He wanted to find peace. Maybe that's the main reason DJ Avicii commit suicide.

I agree with @denmarkguy, which expressed the most plausible hypotheses.

The reason for the suicide is probably due to his success, which, ironically, caused him uneasiness that he had tried to reduce by using alcohol.

This, unfortunately, did nothing but worsen his state of health, causing him to fall into depression and leading him to the extreme decision to commit suicide.

Avicci was hanging on a yacht and sipping a drink the day before his death... and appeared to be happy and healthy.

Avicii has a drink in his hand, bit it's unclear if it's alcoholic or not.

Avicii said in a 2013 interview he stopped driking due to pancreatitis and was living a sober lifestyle.

My dad suffered from pancreatitis about once a year since I was a child. That can easily kill you and if he was drinking that very well may be the cause.

Avicii is my favorite singer... His family have now released a statement implying the Swedish DJ took his own life.

In the message, his relatives said the superstar could “no longer go on” and wanted “peace”.

That's difficult to say
His family is hinting at suicide and that could be a possibility.
He was probably depressed because he wasn't doing so good from the health point of view.
He was trying to quit drinking but wasn't able to. He kept going back to drinking.
The sadness is even reflected in the songs.

he was having existential issues with his existence according to his family and sources close to him. couople that with the grim outlook of some world events and it likely pushed him over the edge.

I sometimes think when musicians die so abruptly it often has something to do with the secret societies that they are part of.

His death was ruled a suicide. Been more of an introvert, he found it difficult to balance the life of a celebrity, and what he actually wanted. Sadly, many aren't aware of battles, people in his position are fighting

"When he stopped touring, he wanted to find a balance in life to be happy and be able to do what he loved most - music.

It continued: "He wanted to find peace. Tim was not made for the business machine he found himself in; he was a sensitive guy who loved his fans but shunned the spotlight.

He was facing some mental issues!
As his life was not going the way he wanted to go!
6 month before his death, he wrote about his death dua to some mental illness!
As he made his mind that he is gonna die afer 6 month, and now he did suicide!
I dont see anyother reason!

At this time, Tim Bergling’s cause of death has not been disclosed. In past years, Bergling had suffered from acute pancreatitis. In 2014, after having his gallbladder and appendix removed, he canceled a series of shows in an attempt to recover.

He was 28-years-old at the time of his death.
In the past, Avicii had suffered from very public health problems, including acute pancreatitis, which was in part due to his excessive drinking.
