I'm glad of this change. It helps to have many different perspectives and messages.
My only suggestion: can you make some of these with female characters?

Having two daughters myself, I've become much more conscious of how many seemingly minor situations there are where signals are sent like this, probably unintentionally. But for simple icons like this, how do we make them feminine, skirts and long hair? Is that not a bit of a stereotype right there? Sorry to give you a hard time; I'm just wondering. :)

I'm not sure about the metaphor of gears within a lightbulb. If the idea is a light bulb, maybe curation is more accurately portrayed by making the bulb brighter... just a thought.
