Hello everyone, finally its time for me to make some better content beside than just straight on posting about my Daily Sketch XD. Recently ive been watching this new season anime which is Darling in the Franxx. So I decided to make some fanarts out of it . In this post I will share to you guys my work progress of creating this piece, hope you guys enjoy :D.
Overall about the Anime, I would say it is decent, but there is one part that i love about it which is the first ending of the series. The concept of the story is also.. aaaaa.....very interesting........>w>..... hiks

So in this ending, I really love how they make the running animation look so freaking cool for some reason. Maybe its about the timing in its animation, but man i never get tired of looking at that running animation XD. The reason I choose Ichigo as my subject matter in the drawing is because I like this girl (Obviously like why would you draw something u hate in the first place). The thing about about Ichigo I like the most is how her leadership in leading his team to battle.
enough with the introduction about the Anime, Now let get started with the Process already :D
So first of all I started with a simple composition of my illustration. I put on some books that was flying off from her beg just to give the feel that she is jumping eventhough we cant really see his full body. For the Background, I decide to take my reference inside the video itself. here is the snapshot of it
It wasnt really detail, but you get the idea.
So after finish with the brainstorming part for the composition, I straight go for the grayscale process. Tbh this will be my most enjoyable part for the whole process. I really love making grayscale and having this feeling no need to do the lineart part. AT first I was planning to make my normal style, but then I said to myself. ''You know what screw this Im going to make Grayscale for this one". I would say im pretty satisfied with how it turned out. :D. anyway im not really gud with this grayscale stuff, if anyone would be kind enough to me to recommend a gud artist with gud grayscale tutorial, It would be great.
The ONLY thing that I hate about making grayscale is the fact that it is hard to colour on it. I watch some tutorial that they said you need to use the soft light layer or other type of layer to paint on the top of grayscale, But the thing is when im doing that, I doesnt give me the exact colour that I want. It makes me pretty hard at the same time frustrating just to find the right colour that i want.
Welp somehow i manage to get the colour after a few struggles anyway. Then I just proceed to give some light effect at some edges of the character just to give some clarity for it.
Finally with the help of my friend, He tuned a bit some of the colour tone just to make the drawing looks right :D. And walla there you have it, Ichigo as your best Waifu XD.

Overall I like how the piece turned out in the end, But I think will study more about Grayscale on how I should colour it later on, because Im really sad that I cant really play with the colour that i have in mind completely.
