League of Legends - Ashe. Let's create a skin for her.

Hi, it's been so long ( 12 days ) since my last post. I had been busy last week with many assignments but finally, I had some time to post this artwork on @steemit.

On last 21 November, I had joined a contest organized by the admins of Garena League of Legends group for Artists and Cosplayers. It required me to create a 'skin' for the champions in the game and the theme is 'Christmas'. Because of the quantity of the assignments that I had received, I had to sacrifice a lot of my time finishing my assignments. Finally got some free time to do the drawing. The champion that I choose is 'Ashe'. Although I didn't play her that much, I love her design and looks. She cute. ^^

This is the splash art of her in the game. She so gorgeous. Kudos to Riot Games.

Ok, Let's start the designing process.

1. First, let's focus on what the 'skin' name. The theme is Christmas so it has to be some sort of connection. For me, the first thing that comes to mind is Santa must need some protections when doing his work right? So, I decided to name the skin ' Santa Watchman Ashe'. Sound cool.

2. Second, we need to sketch the design first. This time, instead of doing it digitally, I sketch it on paper. Ahhh... the feeling when you drew traditionally. The feeling of pencil's carbon and the texture of paper...

1. Then, I scanned it and using Photoshop, I drew the line art. Line art, personally for my personal opinion is the hardest part when creating drawings.

1. Details! details! add the details!

1. Ayyy!! Now we can start coloring it. We start with the base color first. You can color it with the color of your choice. I choose blue because it cool and look calm. I don't choose red because she is the guard, not Santa and it will add contrast with Santa's red coat.

1. Next, we add shader and focus on the coloring parts.Enhance it!! At this point, you must use your imagination and just spread the color so it look nice.

1. When you finish with the color, it time to make the background. Hahaha, I'm really bad with the background so, I just drew some stuff and blur it to give it the sense of positioning. That Santa tho...

1. Finally, It time to add some effects and lights. Yay! it is finished!

With this, we have completed it. I hope you guys can learn something from this. I'm also still learning how to color and draw the background. I enjoy myself doing this artwork although the assignments keep piling up. Hahaha.
