GLOBAL WARMING

The term global warming is certainly no stranger to the ears of today's society. Global warming is a phenomenon of rising temperatures across the earth's surface. According to several studies conducted by experts, in the past 100 years the increase in temperature on earth has reached 0.18 degrees of cercius. This increase in temperature in the earth will result in rising sea surface water caused by the melting of the polar icebergs. In the long run it has the potential to turn our earth.

The process of global warming begins from the tread light from the sun partly returned to the air and partly absorbed by the earth (which is reflected again in the form of infrared radiation). The solar radiation passed through the earth through the atmosphere, because more and more solar radiation in the Earth's atmosphere , thus causing the ozone hole. Most of the solar radiation is absorbed by the earth's surface and heat it up. The infrared radiation emitted by the earth is absorbed by atmospheric CO2, which is then partially transmitted into space (a) partly returned to the Earth's atmosphere and (b) CO2 returning to Earth's atmosphere, which is called global warming.

Main cause and reason of global warming

After discussing about global warming, let's find out what is the cause of global warming.

• Greenhouse effect ... What is the greenhouse effect? The greenhouse effect is a process of rising temperatures on the surface of the earth due to changes in the Earth's atmosphere. Which causes sunlight to be reflected into space. It cannot be reflected perfectly so that the light stays in the atmosphere. Nevertheless, the greenhouse effect does not always have a negative impact on Earth, actually the greenhouse effect is a good thing and is needed for living things on Earth. Without greenhouse gases, the temperature on the earth becomes cold so that it is impossible to occupy or even support life. But if it is too excessive it will cause the Earth to become very hot beyond the threshold of endurance of human life.

• Vehicle pollution from gasoline ... Vehicles around the world are very influential in global warming, because vehicles that use oil-based fuels such as cars, motorbikes and other vehicles resulting from their disposal will produce excessive carbon dioxide (CO2). Well, this is the carbon dioxide gas that is very influential in global warming because carbon dioxide is a gas that catches the hot light so it can not be channeled again into outer space. The impacts are not good for health because of the pollution in environments where the majority of residents live on the side of the road.
• Methane pollution by agriculture, plantation, and livestock... Methane gas is caused from organic materials which are deficient from the results of bacterial breakdown in agriculture, plantations and livestock. For example, the higher the production of livestock, the more methane gas will be released to the earth's surface.
• Uncontrolled use of CFCs... CFCs are chemicals that are combined into a material and then used as producing household appliances. CFCs are usually found in refrigerators and air conditioners which cause global warming.
• Exhaust gas from industry ... Industrial exhaust gases are the cause of the greenhouse effect that also affects the lives of living things because they can cause air pollution caused by excessive factory smoke, because factory smoke emits gas in the form of carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, methane gas and others.

Effect of Global Warming

Global warming will also have an impact on the lives of living things around the world, with global warming the environment will become increasingly polluted due to the amount of pollution and carbon dioxide gas that inhibits the production of oxygen every day.

• As a result of climate change caused by Global Warming, glaciers on six continents began to melt, the sea ice in the Arctic and South Pole, as well as the ice sheet in Greenland, as well as glaciers on the peaks began to melt, resulting in rising sea levels, storms that destructive floods, floods and landslides are becoming more frequent, drought-stricken agriculture is springing up everywhere, causing food and drinking supplies in the world to dwindle.
• Another disadvantage that will soon occur is the reduced biodiversity and extinction of several animal species due to changes in seasons, life cycles, migration times, reduced roaming areas and reduced food supplies.
• Changes in weather and climate are one of the impacts of global warming, because rising temperatures in the earth's surface can change weather and climate in various places around the world.
• Sea warming causes coral destruction and death of life there. It is estimated that within the next 50 years, all the world's coral reefs will be destroyed by ocean warming and pollution caused by human activities.

What will happened after 10 years for global warming.

Perhaps many of us assume that the earth we live in is the same, even at the same temperature, with the earth where our ancestors lived hundreds or thousands of years ago. Of course not. In the last century, humans have brought a great deal of damage and catastrophe to the only planet inhabited by this living being, at least until this writing was made. Starting from the destruction of many animals, the tens of millions of square kilometers of forest, the catastrophes, and the most terrible is the disaster that can not be felt in a short time, that is global warming. The loss of a stable source of water, coupled with severe drought, and an ever-growing population of uncontrollable human populations, causes water sources in Asia no longer sufficient to meet human needs. The temperature of the ocean also warms and seawater becomes more acidic. Our grandchildren will no longer be able to see beautiful coral reefs. Major glaciers in the Alps in Europe will be completely lost and the coastal inhabitants will become refugees due to rising sea levels.

How can we solve the issue

Efforts to tackle Global Warming can start from ourselves and the public spaces of life and the environment around us. Although it will not be directly realized or seen directly the impact of the efforts we do, but if done continuously and done by the people, the next few years will definitely look the changes we have done. And even though we cannot stop this global warming but at least we can slow down the impact caused by global warming. Efforts to cope with global warming that we can do include:

• There are many ways that can be used to overcome this global warming. But what is more difficult in this case is of course its realization on a regular basis. The first thing that can be used as a solution is to reduce the use of fossil fuels.
• Planting trees or reforestation is a step to balance CO2 gas levels in the atmosphere layer. Because the tree will absorb CO2 gas to perform the process of photosynthesis and will release oxygen into the air. And this will make the air in the atmospheric layer cooler and global warming slightly overcome.
• We can use alternative energy to minimize things that can cause global warming. For example, replacing the use of fossil fuel power plants with energy released by sunlight, geothermal, wind or water.
• Fossil fuel vehicles, such as cars or motorcycles, are the largest CO2 contributor in urban areas. Especially if using a private vehicle. With the use of private vehicles, it will cause wasteful use of fossil fuels that produce carbon dioxide emissions. But if we reduce vehicle use, then at least we have reduced carbon dioxide emissions released by the vehicle.
