money cannot buy happiness ...those who really believe that they can be happy if they got the money they are surely misled!!! ...
...so i'm FOR...

....1....
in order to be happy the first thing you need and not everybody acknowledge this, is HEALTH.... you need to be Healthy in order to be happy...
....just imagine yourself sick and multimillionaire... you will spend all your money to be healthy again..
....you must be happy cause you can walk...you can smell...you can see...you can feel!!!..you can see,hug and kiss your child every morning....you can feel the warmth of your wife lying next to you every night...you MUST be happy because all of these cannot be bought with all the money of the world!!!...its the ultimate gift from God!!!....and this gift worth millions and trillions of money...so actually we are millionaires and trillionaires just for having our HEALTH...
...Onasis, and i'm sure everybody knows Onasis, after his son had the airplane accident told the doctors who were the best in the world...' i will pay what ever you ask for just bring my son back '...and the doctors replied..'Mr Onasis,we cannot bring your son back,its not a matter of money'...then full of disappointment and misery Onasis said ' if i cannot bring back my son with my money THEN I AM THE POOREST MAN IN THE WORLD'....he was depressed...he died few years later...he had tons and tons and tons of money.....but he wasn't happy!!!

i can give you some more reasons but i think this one is more than enough to make you understand that you don't need money to be happy!!....you just don't need them!!!

Stand For

Reason 1 : Sometimes I am stressed out because of not having enough money to get any extra out of the ordinary nowadays, but I still have the moment of happiness sharing whatever that I have with my husband even if sometimes it is not enough for both of us. Being able to share with him and him with me makes me happier compare to having a lot of money but no time to spent together with him.

Reason 2 : Being happy doesn't need a reason, it is a feeling, it is something that we are born with and could be the first feeling we might have before we know the meaning and use of money. Thinking way back during my childhood time, I actually do not have money on my own but I am always happy because my parents prepare enough for us. I don't have to worry about money.

Reason 3 : Money become the reason of why some people unhappy because of the needs to survive in this world. Money is needed to pay for a lot of things and to buy a lot of wants but the main points is "need" and "want". For example, there is a lot of things that I "want" but I actually don't "need". Using money for everything that I want do give me stress and unhappiness but when I only use money for the thinhs that I really "need" I don't have the reason to be unhappy.

As for my conclussions, I agree with the statement...

You Do Not Need Lots Of Money To Be Happy This Days!

Because... It is me that cause my happiness or unhappiness, it is not money. Having a lot of money is just another way to boost up happiness but having less is not the reason to be unhappy because there is no way to measure having a lot of or having less it just a matter of do I have enough to pay for my needs or do I have more to get what I want.

I believe that happiness is in recognizing that you have enough to be happy, I mean, once the primary needs are solved, happiness is optional, that is why I believe that you do not need to have a lot of money to be happy.

Reason 1: Some people feels unhappy and empty even after having too much money that they don't even need.
Reason 2: Happiness is not a form of money, it's a form of a thinking; if you can think that you can be happy without money then that's happiness.
Reason 3: Happiness is not a thing that you can buy with money so one can't be un-happy without lots of money.

Against.

Without money, people are always worried and stressed as they need it just for basic things like water and food.
You may be glad without lots of money, but you can be happy having lots of money to spend in many things you would like.
You can control and manipulate things to be as you want, maybe not everything, but many things.
I'll put my country right now as an example: here right now you cannot buy enough food as it has gotten so expensive, so, you have to buy what you can and save it as it is possible. So, with lots of money, we could be very happy buying at least enough food to eat well.
To achieve your dreams, you need lots of money. It could be photography, advertising or playing an instrument. You'll always need money either to study, to buy the instruments (guitars, drums, camera) and even if you tell me you can learn things for free on the internet, you still need money to pay the internet.

Happiness stirs from things that are external, so there's no way you can be experiencing lack and still be happy.
Without money one cannot get the basic things that he/she needs. So how can someone be happy in such state?
The world is getting much harder by the day and without enough money one cannot live the life that he/she desires and when you can't get what you desire, sadness becomes the order of the day.
If you have ever heard this phrase, "a hungry man is an angry man". You would know that lots of money gives happiness.
You can travel the world and have everything you need at you disposal when there's enough money. So money brings happiness.
You don't stress yourself excessively or put yourself at the mercy of others when you have enough money.
Lack of money generate insecurity and fear of tomorrow and someone in such state can hardly be happy.
Lack of money causes several sicknesses such as high blood pressure, heart attack etc. And someone having these conditions can hardly be happy.
You're more likely to be oppressed and looked down on if you don't have lots of money. And such acts Bring sadness.
You stand a better chance to help or assist those you care about when they are in need and this is one of the influencers of happiness.

With the way our world is going, one actually needs lots of money to be happy because without money you can't have the life that you desire and nothing is more saddening and frustrating than that.

Against

The hardship in the present world is one of the causes of so many people's unhappiness. The inverse of this is that money can help in taking away such unhappiness caused by hardship.
Having access to whatever you need in life will make one relaxed and happy.
Frustration is caused by lack of money or lack of the basic things you need in life. This shows that having the money to get what you need in life will stir happiness in your heart.
Somebody said so many people have money but they are not happy. That's not true. Some may have money and not feel fulfilled or joyful, but someone cannot have money and not he happy.
The good things of life costs money and I don't think anyone will be happy if they can't afford the good things of life
How you react when you discover that the steemit post you created has generated a lot of payout will be different from how you react when you discover that it generated just a few cents. This shows that money actually brings happiness because happiness most times stirs from our achievements

I am for the motion!

The points:

If we're talking of the hedonistic interpretation of happiness, this can go various ways and all ignoring money for the most part. To the Epicureans, being able to produce as much pleasure with what you got while keeping it moderate was key to happiness. Some hedonists just see pleasure equaling happiness and just live through it. Others view that punishment along with pleasures can sustain happiness. All-in-all, money can take little importance in the hedonist branch and just end up being a mere means that's forgotten when pleasures are being experienced through and through.
If we wish to keep the theme of philosophy alive, then it's worthy to bring up Eudaimonia and Aristotle. Albeit Aristotle meant Eudaimonia as the "Good Life" essentially, it still equates to happiness. And having the "Good Life" can happen in various ways for people and barely any involve money as a part of it. (Albeit, like the last one, it is nice to have, but not that necessary.)
If we wish to tone down a bit, happiness doesn't need to be derived in happiness and money doesn't have to give out happiness - it can bring trauma and anxiety on how to maintain and spend it. Along with that, as wealth starts accumulating, the more you tend to buy things to buy things - to fit into something that you weren't born in and shall reject you as soon as you lose everything or get caught as a freshly rich person. In fact, the poor often cherish every dollar because that's quite literally the only means they have when it comes to survival - for all goods needs cash to live on with. In fact, going back a bit, using money for the bare essentials and not buying luxuries tends to make people more grateful, thus more happy, since they buy things for a reason than buying things for the sake of it or being in a fad.
Going on with materialism that I half-ærsed in the last point, there's more that should be said. The culture of consumerism and materialism, and this isn't meant to target those affected as they merely have been taught, lived through and had no other option to escape such, has produced more regretful and sad folk. Due to the fact that fad culture prevents a rationalization of the purchase of a commodity and is soon discarded and regretted that they ever gotten onto that train. We buy not because of a fad, but because we think it'll be the last shift for a while and we can all just let this one ride through its course without derailing it so quickly.
And to talk of essentials, a lot of labour and cash is needed. But that's dwarfed by all the prices of contemporary luxuries commodities that certainly have no use-value out of culture and displaying an investment of one's wealth, that could easily diminish if not maintained well. What I need is more important than what I want, that distinction should've been already clear by now - thus, I can safely state that the money I need and want are two different things. Furthermore, what I need to be happy is dependent on my material conditions and my social relations - and most humans just rely on essentials than they do with luxuries.
To get away from that all: if we reduce happiness to a mere chemical reaction like dopamine, then all we should care about is replicating that. Thus, what we perceive as happiness to our Subject ought to be struct many a times by producing it at a safe rate so we can enjoy while being happy. Which can be done by even faking a smile! You'll be better off with that than not smiling at all - the freest action one can do if they wish to be happy, just make sure it's done in appropriate areas and not where it can be misinterpreted.
To go to psychoanalysis in general, just meeting but never surpassing our desires is just enough to feel enjoyment which can cause us to be happy - and most desires aren't pegged to a dollar and can be wildly dumb and stupid 'til you look at the other desires and how others can possess that same desire.
To go to love and such, being around your spouse can create all the happiness in the World you can ever wish for - and cost not a dime when you hang out with them. Just remember to keep your fantasies about the partner in check, lest you want a breakup or a realization that fantasy-object of your spouse is quite different from the actual spouse.
Happiness can even come about doing your hobbies and trying to fulfill it on a day-to-day basis. Some hobbies can be expensive but most tend to be quite cheap - commitment may be costly in the long run, but short runs of such can be quite cheap to begin with.
To go on about hobbies, taking drugs can bring you to many states, but focusing and doing drugs that are guaranteed to bring happiness, implying you don't royally peck it up, can bring about happiness. Some invoke ecstasy-esque states where you feel Heaven has touched your fingertips, some can nullify pains to where you can start feeling other emotions freely, some make you out there and can definitely lead to good trips and some help you stay awake and feel no more of the grouchiness of sleep. Whatever the drug may be, there are many out there that can act as means to the happiness you may want to strike a cord with.

Against.

1. From personal experience I've found out that when I don't have money, am not happy, to be sincere with you, no one is ever happy when he doesn't have enough money to take care of himself.

2. To be happy in life, you really need money, lots and lots of it, between 70-90% of our wants are physical, food, clothing and shelter the basic needs of mankind are physical which means it's a must have, and the funny aspect is that it can be bought or sold. So whoever doesn't have it cannot be happy.

3 Though we all claim happiness is within, that doesn't remove the fact that it entails been content with yourself, it entail having what you want, contentment comes from been satisfied with whatever you want, which indirectly means you have enough, so it is hypocrisy to say happiness doesn't come from money, it does!.

4 Happiness is a product of having what you want at the right time. This involves money and it indirectly means
Money =Happiness.
