What Are Mommy Accounts?
"Mommy Accounts" are dolphins who typically range from a reputation of 55 or above. These accounts generally have a hefty amount of SP and thus their decisions on the chain are felt stronger. This provides many of them with a ego rush because they have authority over others.
Can't This Encourage Abuse of Voting Authority?
Exactly! I ran into a situation like this with the account @felixxx whom holds a steadfast reputation of 66. What did this account do? He became authoritarian. He decided I was too spammy for him. What do I do? I actively find random articles on steemit, I proudly welcome them to steemit, I follow them, I instantiate !OriginalWorks, and I leave them with a fun Gif.

What is wrong with this?
Absolutely nothing because I carefully read, make follow up comments on the post, and generally try to resteem the quality content I find. This is actually a crucial step for minnows to take. @stellabelle is by far one of the most successful steemians on this website and she outlines it perfectly in her podcast:
Essentially, comments and interactions with other members is one of the most important grinds that minnows have to do and gives for the strongest arguments to support accounts like @OriginalWorks through encouraging its usage to be as popular as cheetah or steemcleaners.
What Is Wrong With Flagging?
Flagging isn't inherently wrong because it encourages better content and stronger revisions. Downvotes get out of hand when others suffer from it. In general, comments left on an author's post falls under the realm for the author to determine the quality. This is perfectly fine if @felixxx downvoted comments on his posts. Some people don't particularly enjoy being visited by an originality checker. @twinner did this and I have no issue accepting the downvotes on his post.
@Felixxx Violates Author Sovereignty
On more than one occasion, @felixxx specifically stepped out of his way to downvote comments that the author praised and upvoted. This creates an issue for these minnows that happily enjoy the #minnowsupport but cannot overpower this mommy's decision.

yeah ok i read this.
"What do I do? I actively find random articles on steemit, I proudly welcome them to steemit, I follow them, I instantiate !OriginalWorks, and I leave them with a fun Gif."
First off, in the few examples I saw, you found the post at minute one. The post didnt have a chance to be valued, so the whole premise of it being undervalued is bogus. The authors are all well established high rep accounts who dont need welcoming to steem, nor do they need you calling original works for them, which by the way i didnt see happening. Another point is that you did not comment about the article. You didnt engage the author about content or acknowledge the subject. This isnt high quality interaction. You act like this is some great service you offer instead of what it is: unwanted spamming and a follower collection attempt. I highly suggest you stick to clicking on follow, a succinct comment showing you read the post, and skipping the bullshit that makes it sound like you are curator.
