Now I know I am new here and i wanted to say I have found a truly good and effective secret which is upvoting content you like and following people you like. These methods may have been explained to you already but I have a special message to tell you.You can also use bots like Steem voter,Build a whale, and minnow support. The best tip I can tell you is upvote and maybe if the whales like you they will up-vote you. Even if you can get 1 or 2 whales interested in your content, you could make lots of money.
Another tip I could tell you is comment a lot not spam just leave thoughtful comments like for example " great post this is very informative" I am not telling you to write these comment but just say something thoughtful. Another tip is curation the problem is a lot of people on steemit thinks it all about making post no if you would upvote you could get attention and curation rewards because rewards are split 75% with the author and 25% with the curators or people who upvoted the post. So definitely try curation Voting power is the key.
Also you need to make friend with whales or just simply make good and original content. The making of good content will take you a lot farther on steemit with whales.
