I noticed my estimate payout fell from $7.40 -> $7.20 despite there being a rise in the Steem Dollar value. Any idea why this happened?

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

    Open payouts are based only off the price of Steem...which had dropped in value. Steem Dollar value doesn't have any effect on pending payouts.
