The STEEM Editor is Good, But a Thumbnail Preview Would Make it Even Better!

Have you ever created a brand new shinny post only to be really disappointed how the thumbnail displays in your feed?

When composing a new post one of the bigger issues I've had is the cropping of the thumbnail. Unfortunately there's been a few times when a post has gone live and the thumbnail doesn't display beautifully how I'd like in the feed.

Here's my recommendation:

I'd like to purpose we add add a "thumbnail" preview feature. Implementing this would be extremely simple and I'm certain would save a lot of steemers headaches - and a pretty quick add. Alternatively down the road we could implement a self cropping tool which would give some additional robust functionality.

Other than a thumbnail preview, which is a must, I suggest steemit fix the raw html, I tried several times to edit my post using the raw html, like changing the color or re-sizing my pictures but without success. I had to re-edit every single image to the size I want.

Okay.... I agree with you :)

Thank you for bringing this up :))

Agreed. The more user friendly the larger the community. I would like to see an easier way to add pics, like a paste function like Facebook has. Or even a share button like is on Android phones for Google plus and Facebook, etc.

Yes a way to preview a thumbnail would be an excellent idea hopefully the big bosses implement the feature

I sympathise with this SO MUCH I've had to reupload a post just to fix the thumbnail before.

It is a good and reasonable idea. I would specify that the preview should support animated .gif's as well.

I think it did originally, but they removed it. In all honesty, i have seen this on another platform and the amount of flashing icons can give you a headache, unfortunately, people abuse it too much. I like animated icons and love creating them but it will get out of hand I can see it happening.
