It appears after clicking upvote, the green arrow first appears but then the red downvote icon replaces it. So it looks to me that I'm actually downvoting. Checking steemd.com/@yes however the upvotes were registered. Tested on multiple pages.

I figured it might be a not-always-reproducible bug. I just refreshed the main trending page and re-logged, still shows red down arrows despite showing upvotes on steemd.com

Correct .. It looks like the votes are being casted correctly and that it is a back-end reporting issue.
