A device with a good design, a 90 Hz screen and that stands out for having a superlative battery. We analyze Xiaomi's Redmi 10.
Xiaomi recently presented the Redmi 10, a cheap mid-range with a very premium design, which also has some features that differentiate it from its competition, such as its 5,000 mAh battery. Although it does so at the cost of the 5G connectivity that it lacks.
From my experience, I can tell you that it is a balanced and interesting mobile, which is still a cheap device, but which hides more than meets the eye.

Matte touch and polished finishes
In the design section, the Redmi 10 is a device that surprises for good, since it has polycarbonate finishes with a matte touch. It sits especially well in the hand and does not smudge with fingerprints. It is one of those mobiles that you want to carry without a cover.
In its back part, you can find a rectangular module for the camera, which is, in turn, inside a black box that frames it. In this one, the 50-megapixel sensor sits at the top, as is an inscription next to it.
On its right side are the volume buttons and the power button, which in turn functions as a fingerprint reader. Both in its lower part and in the upper part there are stereo speakers that make the audio section the most interesting to consume multimedia content.
It should be noted that it is a mobile with USB Type C and infrared sensors that will allow you to control devices such as television or air conditioning.
A 90Hz panel to get plenty of looks at
It has a 6.5-inch LCD screen with Full HD + resolution with which you will be able to consume multimedia content without the problem at a good resolution, although, as you surely know, it is not only the resolution that is important.
It is a good screen, although its maximum brightness level can be improved when it is in direct sunlight. In addition, it is not AMOLED technology, so its colors are not so saturated and vivid, although they are somewhat more realistic. In this sense, it is already a matter of taste.
It has a 90 Hz refresh rate, which will make everything look more fluid, both in the interface and in compatible games. You must bear in mind that this uses a little more battery.
Enough muscle for basic games
When it comes to running applications, the Redmi 10 performs decently, although the differences with slightly more expensive devices are noticeable. Still, it is not a device that becomes difficult to use on a day-to-day basis.
Regarding its performance in video games, it has no problem running undemanding titles, but slight jerks can be appreciated from time to time.
It cannot be said that the Redmi 10 is the ideal terminal if you are looking for great performance since there are times when the device presents some difficulties in performing relatively normal tasks. Although these are things that, surely, can be solved through software.
This mobile has an option that allows you to activate 1 GB of virtual RAM, which will take space from the internal storage to use to manage multitasking in times of great demand.
MIUI 12.5: a guarantee in terms of software
The Redmi 10 has MIUI 12.5, which is a guarantee at the level of performance and usability, in addition, it has a large number of interesting additions, starting from the integrated remote control application that allows you to take advantage of your infrared device.
Customization options such as the selection of the refresh rate, the color scheme, or the style of the lock screen stand out. A large number of aspects can be modified from the settings.
The same thing happens in the launcher, and if you access its settings, you can choose to have an application drawer or not, show the Google page on the left side of the launcher, or change the size of the icons.

A camera that can take good daytime photos
Photographs taken with the main camera have a good level of detail, although there are times when the color gamut could be slightly better. Still, the results are acceptable in bright environments.
When taking images in low light, the results are worse, causing the level of detail to drop and noise to increase significantly. If you manage to place the mobile on a stable surface, you can take advantage of the night mode to slightly improve the results.
With an 8 megapixel wide-angle, the level of detail is also low, but in good light outdoors you can take interesting pictures, which gives it some versatility.
Redmi 10: the ideal mobile if you are looking for a good battery
The Redmi 10 is a device from the more humble area of the mid-range with its lights and shadows and depending on what you are looking for on the device it may or may not be more appropriate for you.
At the performance level, it is not the most powerful mobile in its price range, so if you are looking for a mobile to play graphically demanding games, perhaps you should look for another option. If you only play occasionally, it MediaTek Helio G85, and its 4 GB of RAM will suffice.
On a photographic level, it is a very interesting mobile. It has a 50-megapixel main sensor that is capable of taking good pictures in bright environments. At night this worsens, so if you want mobile to take pictures, you must take this into account.
Its design is very successful, and on the other hand, it is a very comfortable device. It includes a cover in the box, and its matte touch offers a very good feeling, although the mobile tends to slip slightly.
