Welcome to my post.
I'm Peter.
I do reside in the UK (United Kingdom) for very long time now.
We could organize more meetups, that is why I create this post.

1. Introduction.

I do not know how you have it, but I personally prefer to interact face-to-face with people.
Today, the world is so electronic, that many of our contacts with people are carried out through social media, telephone, email, messengers, etc.
The quality of communication, contact, and the potential for building relationships, or the emotional side of being acquainted with another person is very limited in many aspects.


I am a man who remembers the 70's, 80's, etc., I remember interpersonal relations then and I compare them to those today and guess what? - I am longing to those relationships from old times.

2. The idea of ​​meeting Steemit-ians from my current regions.

People who can get by (car, bus, train) or fly to one (or various) points in which meetings will be organized, please put in the comments below convenient locations and dates (which I put down below in this post).
One could combine such a meeting with a multimedia presentation about Steemit for people potentially interested who are not yet with us at Steemit.

Hours:

Since many people work weekdays, I think the best will be a trip from the early morning on Saturday and the start of the meeting around 12-2 PM (we will have to see the hours of flights, buses and / or trains.

Length of the meeting:

The longer, the better, but I think that it will not happen without one night, so even by 23:00 or later, then you can reach the place of accommodation and on Sunday we could make the second day of the meeting from morning to afternoon with evening returns to homes.

4. Ideas for what we can do and what to talk about in such a meeting.

I am asking for ideas on what to talk about and what to do at such a meeting. I leave it to your creativity (I am asking for comments).

I will suggest some ideas from myself:

• exchange of business cards (or contacts),
• a meal from the meeting place, or ordered food, e.g. in a pizzeria,
• multimedia presentation,
• group conversation,
• conversations in smaller groups,
• 1 on 1 conversations (obviously) :)
• sightseeing and/or trip.
• possible accommodation and/or pickups from/to the airport proposed by the local Steem-ians.
  
  
  Suggested topics for conversations:
  
  
• short personal stories and/or insights about Steemit,
  ideas for "good roads on Steemit" and what not to do on Steemit (from personal experience),
• secrets, hints, tips, etc. about what's best and how to do it on Steemit,
• investments in Steemit and other forms of investment in which we have experience,
• familiarization talks.

I am asking for ideas on what to talk about and what to do at such a meeting. I leave it to your creativity (I am asking for comments).

5. Suggested venue types:

• school hall,
• a conference room of a hotel or a company organizing conferences,
• a meeting room,
• private flat, house, garden,
• restaurant
• park, concert shell, etc.
  
  

6. Suggested contributions (fees for venue and/or catering):

They can be made on the spot (then it will be rather difficult to rent a place), or until a week or more before.


The amount of the potential individual payment (contribution) I leave you to choose:

• zero (it can be done, for example in a public place, a park, a private house,
• 5-10 pounds - some mteeting room, maybe some coffee, tea and biscuit,
• 10-20 pounds - probably something more,
• over 20 pounds - ... pounds - I am asking for your suggestions.
  
  

6. Meetup?

I do not know if it is already, but maybe we will set up a meetup (from a mobile application for smartphones) in the topic Steemit.UK. Maybe there are already such meetups in existence, if you know any, please write about it. I know steem-dublin (someone wrote me about yesterday).

7. Final thoughts.

Such meetings are probably nice experiences and give the opportunity to meet new people (or "old" friends from Steemit) in real-life face-to-face.
I am sure that if we can organize such a meeting, it will be nice, professional and emotional.
In response to the subject of the post: conclusion is - I prefer personal contact with a human rather than an "e-human" and I hope that you have the same :)
