The Main Streem Media (otherwise know as MSM) have been lying for so long about the most important things to people that trust is finally and irreparably vanishing. It may once have been true that journalism in the MSM was about revealing the truth and enabling justice. That is obviously no longer the case.

Now we are forced to harvest what grains of truth and perspective that may be found from all over the place. Integrity can no longer be taken for granted and reputation must be verified and established before trust can be earned. Accountability is the only means of ensuring a cost to those that would abuse gathered trust. All this will take time. Thankfully, we have technological solutions that can help us establish and retain integrity, like blockchains, like our own Steemchain that powers steemit and will power other media front ends.

There is great truth, deep sadness and throat-clenching defiance in these statements. Together, perhaps we might build communities capable of halting these truths in their tracks and to bring about an era of humanity these most prescient of minds may never have been able to envisage.
